SAEP Payment Schedule

Facility Fee: $250
Facility fee includes use of hospital or sexual assault examination facility for use of an emergency room or examination room, radiology expenses, medical supplies, sterile supplies and repair of superficial wounds (relating to sexual assault wounds).

Physician or Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Fee: $200
This payment reimburses the physician or SANE for service rendered in performing the sexual assault examination.

Laboratory Fee: up to $100
This payment is made to the hospital, sexual assault examination facility or laboratory to perform diagnostic laboratory testing.

Pharmacy Fee: up to $100
This payment is made to the hospital or sexual assault examination facility for medications and pharmaceuticals prescribed as a result of the examination and as part of basic treatment.
